WOODWORKING

4ft x 2ft
This shelving unit was created from a repurposed chest of drawers, transforming an object once meant to conceal into one that now reveals and displays. In its new form, it becomes a reflection of what we lose and keep when moving from one place to another. Each compartment suggests a fragment of a life once contained, now reorganized into something both functional and deeply personal. The modular pieces overlap and intersect, mimicking the way memories, habits, and belongings blur together over time. These layered sections hold trinkets and books, objects that act as physical markers of experience, each carrying its own history. To me, this unit becomes more than furniture but rather it is an evolving archive of self.
